Hi All ,I had my EAS Compressor motor repaired yesterday and have replaced the seal ,given it a clean and it works a treat ,but not on the car!!!,put 12v across it from a car battery and it works fine ,put it in the car, nothing .I have checked all the fuses and they are ok .
I think I remember reading on here about water in the passenger footwell which I have had recently can cause problems with th compressor not working because of corrosion on some contacts or could there be some other reason ,all help gratefully recieved.

Thanks.

I had the same problem when I changed my pump.
Mine did not work at all until I had switched the engine on and off several times then it burst into life and has remained working.
Still don't know what caused it.
Water ingress to the loom below the pollen filter has been known to happen.I

Well, I have been in touch with a bloke on E-bay who goes by the name of Airsuspensiondoctor and he has been a god send ,he told me the thermal cutout switch was not working and if I put a thin piece of wire between the orange and black wires it would bypass the switch and the compressor would work ,he was spot on the suspension came back up to standard ride height after 5 mins idling and has been right since yesterday all I have to do now is replace the thermal cutout switch which is £15 and the job is done.
£30 motor repair
£26 seal kit
£15 thermal cutout switch
£71 total to fix the suspension ,bargain!!

After saying all was well, I had a full set of lights and EAS fault pop up this afternoon.

Left it for a couple of hours and it all cleared, now works fine. I think the TOC had cut out, it may be touchy so your thread is a great help.
Where did you get the TOC?

Fred

Part number for thermal cut out is AIRPAX 67L120 they were about £3.00 last time i looked. Pump will need stripping to solder in place.
