Earth wiring help

Hi all, have got to the point on my 200tdi csw rebuild were I can start the engine and see if my engine rebuilding ability is ok, but I read today that there should be 2 earhing straps, one from the body to the chassis and one from the starter motor to the chassis, is this correct ? As I'm sure that I didn't take any off when I did the strip down.

usually theres a lead from battery that bolts to chassis and t/box ,body in theory should earth to chassis via its fixing bolts but an extra lead doesnt hurt
