having big eletrical problems on my 1990 110 :( seems to be an earth issue? as its effecting various things like the gauges, wipers, indicators, brake lights and washers. the main battery to gearbox earth is fine as is the engine to chassis, is there an earth behind the dash anywhere?

someone will pipe up but the ones I've played with are on bulkhead-above clutch master cylinder

as is it enters chassis at the front, where it exits at the back and the body seam behind rear lights-prime places for rear loom

I checked the voltage drop with respect to the battery negative terminal. As I turned on the heater fan, lights etc. I saw increasing voltage drop.
Follwong a forum tip, I ran 2 new earth wires directly to the battery terminal, one from the fusebox mounting screw and another from the bulkhead earthpoint inside the engine bay.
Much better now, the dash "voltmeter" doesn't shift now as I turn on stuff.

easy way to check would be to use a jump lead from negative of battery and earth the bulk head with it

had a look at her earlier but got sick of lying in the snow, so havnt fixed anything yet! but there is some chaffing on the rear wiring as it exits the chassis. seems the grommet has perished and allowed the loom to rub. also the earth on the bulkhead needs a good clean up as its a bit corroded so as soon as possible il sort those out and see if it does the job.

cheers.j
