Hi everyone - just joined and looking for some information on a 1972 Range Rover (2 door).
Does anyone have a definitive answer to the question of the floor pans, where they welded on both sides or screwed in by self tappers? I've fitted new inner and outer sills but Haynes infers they were screwed in
but mine seems to be welded.
Any ideas?

A quick look in the oldest parts catalogue I have - 1977 - shows the transmission tunnel as a bolt in part. Part number is 390493 but a Google search for that produces nothing.
You might be best trying to find an early parts catalogue or a restoration with pics on the net.
A quick Google produces this of a 1971 one & the transmission tunnel is as pictured in my parts book. (Pic 14 of the slide show shows where the tunnel edge meets the floor)

ETA. This suggests that the change from bolt together to all welded may have been as late as 1986. Mine's a CA & the tunnel is welded in.
