I have just been told that the early 90's 1984/85 are made of better materials than later ones - is this true? My informant says the materials used on the body are thicKer

Some of the ali panels seem a bit thicker[more like series] and body cappings were galven,however they have had longer to rot.

Looks like he was right then, talking about door cappings I need a pair of galvanised if anyone has any?

No big deal if you can't find any galv ones, just buy new ones and get them dipped as it is a very cheap operation.
I had all my body capping dipped a couple of years ago and that included the centre bulkhead capping and the tailgate liner, total including VAT was about £20.
