I've seen a few bargain buys over the last couple of years, might even go to one of the auctions one day

always like to have a nose through the catalogue before each auction

best one I saw was a Daimler ds420 probably 3 years ago - not bad condition - went for around £1,200 iirc wish I ahd bought it.

they were doing auctions at Bicester which would be easier for me to get to but seem to have knocked those on the head. Leominster had the best stuff though

the ved and mot exemption must be worth something of a premium, even at £2,300 you would save that in 8 years. if you have the time and the skill the cost of metal can't be that much. and if the engine and drivetrain are ok (which they probably aren't)

cost of your time, well…………... :D

LOLZ, VED @ £270/yr

Looking at that it would be 5 new tyres @ £500 minimum

Mostl likely you would be adding about about £1500 in steel/panels and welding consumables.

Likely it's need all new bushes and might as well fit pollies for ease £300

Brake pads and rotors, wheel bearings, hub seals £400

Battery £100

the rest is hope and pray.
