How do folks I've got an 1985 110 I recently had all the loom off to do some welding repaire and now the fuel gauge reads full all the time I was wondering if someone could photo the wiring on there sender so I can see if I've got it wrong I have run some twin core from the sender to the clocks so I know it isn't the wiring that's rubbed through

Mine has 3 wires one for the gauge one for the light and an earth I have got the low fuel light working but cant seem to get the gauge to behave

I only have discos so can't help you with that but if you use a meter and gewt soemone to move the sender up and down its travel you should see some variation either in voltage or in resistance.
Here is a thread on exactly the same situation, https://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/79553-which-wires-where-on-fuel-tank-sender-unit/ so you aren't the only one! The answer may well be to be found at the beginning of the thread. It then degenerates a bit.
Maybe others here
