The 88 is a simple engine change so just fill in details and send .
The existing rrc is basically a body change on a discovery , so that is the way you should approach it ie will retain disco reg most likely . It is illegal to try and view it the other way as the rrc does not have original , engine , gearbox, axles chassis (points sytem) . Stamping chassis number is likely to bring you lot of pain if investigated due to any other anomalies coming to light . It is apparent to examiners , dont ask me how I know ! Contact dvla , and you will quite possibly be required to have a vic , possibly nothing more , but keeping things legit will pay in end , as enforcement is becoming more active . HTSH

i am going to put it back on the RR chassis and change only the engine , and register it that way,

thanks for reply's

Well that was pretty much condoned by most, you condone one you condone 'em all.

the fact he owns all of the vehicles involved doesn't make any difference IMHO
