Hello all,

A few months ago I bought a defender in the UK and imported it to the Netherlands. In the mean time I have done some maintenance to it and have been offroad in it a few times.

I've also got a 2004 Lotus Elise 111R and that stayed it the garage most of the time this summer....

Here is a picture of my car. Its a 1986 90 that originaly had a 19J (turbo diesel) engine. In its life it was changed over to an 11L 200 Tdi.

I have added some proper folding down seats in the back so it looks like a factory county but it started life as a hardtop model.

It its live someone sprayed it metallic silver and I think it looks quite good in this colour.

The black boost wheels were added by me, the brunel silver front aswell.

Some things on the to do list are;

- adjust the bias plate so the gearlever is in front of 3rd gear when in neutral.

- change the steeringbox, this one leaks a bit

- purge the injectors, no problems, just maintenance

- at one time i might change the axels as they have quite a bit of play in the differentials

- I also want to get the wheel arches painted to match the colour of the car

- do some work to the bulkhead as it shows some rust. Might even change it out for a different one.

David

Fresh from the boat, but in the netherlands. A friend of mine bought the white 110

@dh98, so do i.. I have a spare set that is in better condition than these are. Might just put those on. But sprayed in colour would look even better in my mind...

@BarnsleyRob, I live in Scheveningen and the garage I maintain the defender is in Maasdijk. Thats where the pictures were taken. So yep, quite close to Rotterdam!

Well im going to Germany so will be near Rotterdam on the 9th November as I get off the ferry, Maybe we could have a Landyzone picture... keeping up the ties to foreign countries :) will be taking the 90 :)

Let me know, could spare an hour to say hi

That would be fun. But i am hoping to be in a foreign country where the sun still shines on that date. Have fun in Holland and Germany. Mind you we drive on the wrong side of the road :)

The white 110 in the pictures is up for sale! I will try to add a thread in the for sale section.
