Hi all,

I know I am not a Series Land Rover owner, however I have a set of steel rims off a Series 2 which I want to use on my 90 and I am looking to buy some tyres for them, so I thought that this would be the best part of the site to ask this question.

I have found these tyres for sale:

Dunlop Mud Grip Tyres | Trade Me

Is anyone able to say from looking at the advertisement whether they will fit Series Land Rover rims?

Thanks.

The price is in NZ dollars, worth about half a pound each I think for all you english fellas, and compared to the price of brand new tyres I though it seemed not too bad.
Have a look at these prices on our main off-road gear website. Obviously the tyres aren't really comparable but this is an idea of the cost of new tyres in NZ dollars. Prices are for one tyre.

And here are some AT Tyres:

4WDbits All Terrain Tyres for 16 inch rims

You can see that the price for the six tyres I'm looking at is about the same as one new decent quality tyre. I should also point out that I already have another set of wheels with fairly wide, agressive tyres on them for more serious off-road work, and that I'm not a really die-hard off-roader (I'm a bit precious about my Landy).

Turned out they were retreads! The guy selling them hadn't realised as they weren't originally his tyres. They were also much older than they appeared in the photos. We walked away from that one!
