Dumb question - P38 through carwash?

Don't want to find out the hard way that my P38 won't fit into a standard garage car wash - will it fit? Or will I lose mirrors and possibly paintwork??
Never trusted car washes since I worked at a garage in my teens. Prefer doing it by hand (come on someone thats an opening) or letting someone else do it (and thats an even better one):)

It's where the lower tail gate meets the boot seal... The metal lop needs to be pulled out about 5mm. That is if I've got it correct. Then you adjust the lower tail gate latches so the tail gate pops open when you push the button confirming it's seated nicely onto the seals. Hopefully one of our members with a better memory can elaborate on this tip😣
@Datatek, @Grrrrrr , @kermit_rr , @Henry_b , @Saint.V8 ... Sorry if I've missed a few good soldiers 🤔

You need to bend the flange out all he way up to the corner, at least that's what I had to do to eliminate the fish pond in the boot.
