That's the pressure pipe from the turbo that increases the fueling when the turbo is blowing, it runs around the back of the engine and you should see it connected to the output of the turbo.
I'm guessing the power on your 300tdi is a tad lacking at the moment as it is most likely fuel starved once the turbo is blowing.

No problems, looks like the right bit on microcat and to be honest it's just a bit of plastic pipe with a couple of connectors on so it can't be too wrong

Might be worth slitting a bit of rubber hose and putting it over the new pipe in the spot where the old one rubbed to save it happening again....

ERR4699 is the boost pipe assembly on the 300 TDi, so your sisters should be ok!
It runs from the turbo, around the back of the engine to a banjo bolt. Suspect any rigid plastic pipe of the right diameter would do the job - replaced part of mine with aquatic tubing when I accidentally melted it, and seems to work just fine

Did you glue the pipe? or replace the entire rigid pipe? Just curious as I guess it gets quite warm and also oily with the amount of leaks the average tdi has ;-)

Used a straight ribbed plastic connector - Halfords - about £1.29
Pushed the existing tube over one end, and the replacement bit over the other
Was a tight fit, and no sign of leakage (yet)!

SH ignoring the bit about Halfords I think you may have written a condom instruction manual ... straight ribbed ... pushed the existing tube over one end ... was a tight fit and no sign of leakage!
