Hi All,

Not been here for a while, well about a year…….

But on holiday again…….

Noticed the temp gauge moving slightly from RHS of needle in line with vertical marker to LHS of needle in line with other side of vertical mark on the gauge. Drove from Weymouth to Southampton, just wondering if this is normal or start looking for something. Have just got to drive around Southampton for 2 days then down to Poole. Oil changed 6 months ago, always used just a little water but level OK. Had a new rad, water pump and thermostat when bought it three years ago. Oil looks dirty but not milky haven’t looked in the water header tank yet.

Transmission a bit rumbly, but I don’t think gearbox as constant rather than changing as I change gear (manual P38 DT) could a bearing be sticky? Just feel it lacks a bit of power compared to normal but obviously I am normally trundling around Jersey not loaded with family and bags going down the motorway (my excuse for stall at the lights on a hill in Southampton). Do have a powerbox fitted.

Any thoughts (useful or amusing) appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Did wonder about the viscous fan but did change that when did the rad etc but obviously it was a cheapo copy so could this go so soon (3 years)?

If its going from right to left thats getting cooler?
Could it just be that at moterway speed the engines not working as hard and the blast cooling from the speed is keeping it cool?

Hi Guys well back home now and thanks for the posts. I was really worried in case someone mentioned head gasket or something else really serious. The car will now toddle around Jersey for a few months so will try and change both at some point over the winter.

Cheers again.
