Hi guys,

I've been having the usual problem with the HK system in my P38 2000 Vogue - Radio/CD/tape working fine but no sound! After reading about others with this problem, I decided to get the DSP amp out and try to get a replacement. I've taken the Sub and the CD changer out and expected to find the amp behind the sub, but there's nothing - and there doesn't appear to be any space for an amp?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Right - I've now got the amp out of the car. Land Rover have quoted £395 for a replacement! I'm going to order one on Monday so should have it sometime next week. I'll post the results once I've had a cance to collect and fit it.

Picked the new amp up yesterday. £440 inc vat

Anyway, I was worried aboout differences in the part numbers - old amp was XKQ100340 120094 (HK A4053 BE 3895); new one was XKQ100340 H70858 (HK A4062 BE 3895), but mr RR assured me that it was the right one. I got him to agree that I could return it if it didn't work.

Loose fit this morning and IT WORKS! I've now got all amp functions at the head unit and sound from all speakers including the sub. Now just need to re-install it all properly.
