Yes, I've got the tech manuals. Haven't had a look in there yet. Think I'll pull the dash and see if the switch wires are in place before I go spending any money!

Matt.

ive seen a p38 fog light switch go for £40!!! i stopped bidding at £10.

as for fitting fogs you have to have a wiring loom, front fogs (doh), a relay, and someone with a rovacomlite, cos it has to be enabl;ed in the becm. until its enabled in the becm there is no way you will get the fogs to work, unless you hard wire them to the battery!

oh and the original Q in this post. That RR is deff 100% sure a 2.5DT, and someone has stuck on a SE badge.

When you say wiring loom, do you mean I have to add to the existing setup or that it has to be in place already? There is already a set of wires in place for the fogs themselves - although as I said I'm not sure about the switch wires.

Have you got any info on doing the fog light addition? Where do you plug the relay into etc.

Sure my local specialist will be able to enable them for me, he has LR Testbook.

Cheers,

Matt.

I may be being paranoid but is the addition of fogs safe to do on the deisel models?

In my understanding the reason for not having them is to enable airflow to get to the gearbox oil cooler?

I'd like to add fogs to mine (when the ridiculous bull bar thingy has been taken off) but im worried about the infamous overheating problem?

From looking at where they are located, I don't see how adding fog lights would restrict air flow. Not on my manual anyway. Auto might be different - as stated previously.
