Ok so I've got a couple salisbury for my 90. One has a broken diff and the other has a shabby casing. I don't fancy swapping the diffs so is it possible to swap the whole drum off the end of the axle?

yes look behind the drum and the hub to axle case nuts will be obvious... 6 if i remember correctly, strip it all down n do the seals / bearings etc whilst your at it. swopped mine for HT bzp so they wont rust in place again.... will post pic later if u need it but i cant access flickr on the work system

Cheers Steve

I noticed the nuts on the back I was worried about the seals ect. I need to find the part numbers for all the bits. I might stick the axle on the defender for the time being and strip it down another day.

doesn't take long and its a nause if an old seal fails after getting it all back together

did mine in slow time n prob took 2 easy days to renew all seals, all bolts, brake cylinders, shoes n pipes after painting it, basic tools n a bit of time and it'll be as good as new...
