Can anyone help with the location for the switch for a-bar mounted driving lamps, where front and rear fog lamps are already fitted?

I can't spot a suitable space for it already in the dash, but can't believe the factory offered them as an option without a 'proper' site for the switch, rather than just drilling a hole somewhere?

I suspect you'll find they're programmed to just come on with the main beam if the wiring is already there. If the wiring isn't there, it looks like you'll have to wire them up the old fashioned way with a relay operated by the mainbeam. I think also if there is wiring from the BECM, it has to be told that there are lamps fitted before it'll output anything.

Thanks for that Derek, I suspected the BECM would come into it, as it did with the fog lights, and I know that there is a specific add in loom for the driving lamps. I just wondered where the switch went, cause it doesn't make sense to have them permanently wired to the main beam, as there are many situations where you could get away with mainbeams not dazzling others but high output drivers would carry too far, leaving you having to cope with dipped beams.

If you have an automatic there should be a spare switch position to left of cruise control switch. Used for high/low on manuals. If you have a manual it is hard cheese. Driving lamps cannot be switched on independently, they must only come on with head lamp main beam.
