driving lamp pods

I have got a pair of these additional driving lamp pods fitted to the front of my 2000 FL with the switch to the right of the steering wheel witch lights up when pressed and full beam is on but the actual lights dont work ? I have took the pods of and traced the wires back and they are spliced into the main wiring loom behind headlights and also had a look at the RAVE cd but cant find any wiring diagram for these ? Can any body shed any light on this (no pun intended) before I go pulling the whole lot bits ?

Sorry for all the questions but cant find any info on these or specific wiring diagrams.

The connection diagram for these lights is in the Accessories section on the Rave CD, although it doesn't give a wiring diagram as such.

yeh i found that Jimjp but like you say not very helpful !

There should be a bracket fitted to the battery clamp bolt that holds the relay and fuse for the extra lights, unless it's a bodge job and not the full kit.

Cheers for that longdog will check that out maybe a fuse or naff relay ! Thats why i couldnt find a fuse in the fuse box for them !

Is it a blue 4 pin relay with a blue fuse cant remember the amp's :doh:

That's them, 15 amp fuse.

cheers longdog fuse is ok but it was kinda hanging up side down allowing water to get into relay i think so probably naff relay !

got power to relay from switch but thats it so prob deffo naff relay !

anybody know where i can source this blue relay/fuse holder or is it a trip to the stealer's !

Bog standard 4 pin relay, just unplugs from its holder.
Any spares shop, Halfords, etc.

I guess i will just have to put an inline 15 amp fuse before the relay ?

There should be an inline fuse holder and seperate relay holder as part of a genuine wiring harness, the relay just unplugs.
If its a diy job they may have fitted a fused relay, again any parts shop will sell one

Yeh it is a fused relay pulled out tonight to take with me tomorrow. Pulled it apart and looks as if it been sitting in the north sea for the last 2 years rusty and corroded like you wouldnt believe !
