hi- I know that there are lots of threads related to this issue but I can't find my specific problem. I've had issues with the window grating in the past and the cable has been replaced. Last year it became very slow especially when it was damp but responded well to a spot of oiling. Now however it refuses to work at all- the switch 'clicks' but nothing happens. I was wondering if it's the switch or the mechanism again? Thanks in advance

1. Check fuse to motor - might have blown through overload.
2. Pull off trim card and check power to motor - checks wiring harness is ok.
3. I believe the reg cables are nylon lined, so if you put petroleum-based lube on them this can cause the nylon to swell and seize the cables. Silicone grease is the way to go, I'm told.
4. FL window mechs are crap. If you have power to the motor and it's not working, I suggest you replace the mechanism, motor and all.
