Just goin thru the list of things to do on freelander and the rear window doesnt work.

Took door card off and found a peiece of wood holding window up shut. No window mechanism in the door or runner or motor. Just the glass and piece of wood.

Anybody got any pics of how i fit 1 please

Hi, its fairly easy, before you start plug in the new unit and get the glass holding brakets half way down, the 2 metal legs stand upright with the motor (held in the white plastic braket) on the left (motor in the middle of the legs) the cables go in a figure 8 style. Then you have 2 bolts at the top of the legs, 1 at the bottom, and 3 on the motor unit, all bolt holes are in the rear panel and will line up easily. Then slide the glass down into the 2 holders and secure. I then had to use the key to move the motor fully down for the switch to recognise it again. It was a while ago since I fitted mine, but this should help if nobody sends you pictures.

Drivers side rear. There is no mechanism inside. So was thinkin bout takin other door off to reference to that. Just wanted expert advice or next best thing

just a tip do not fully tighten the bolts up run it up and down a couple of times then tighten sometimes if you do not do this the window does not always sit strait.
