I've been really quite pleasantly surprised at the amount of room inside our Freelander 1 but... I could do with the driver's seat going back another 3 inches or so.

I'm 6' 3" and although the headroom is just OK, I find I'm a fraction too close to the steering wheel and my feet are landing too high on the pedals. I thought it was just the hangover from changing cars but we've done a fair few miles now and it's definitely a problem with being too close.

Is there anything that can be done? My simple mind is wondering if it's possible to reposition the bolts holding the runners to the floorpan but I've now idea whether this is remotely possible.

The important thing is that I can't afford to lose any headroom so anything involving a 'second' set of runners to extend is probably out of the question.

Any advice appreciated.

Im 6'3 as well and havent noticed any problem , suppose it just depends on your driving position,

Thanks guys, I guess it could well be something that'll get better as I spend more time driving it. It's not a huge problem, just something that niggles a bit.

I'm 6'2" & my problem is with the headroom in that I have to duck my head down to see the traffic lights sometimes. I find that the windscreen doesn't come up high enough for me. I've learned to live with it but it's probably the biggest minus point with the FL.
