Undo the torx screw that holds the outer handle to the door, but don't remove it...there is a spacer which fits into the door handle which may drop into the door cavity if you do (Most of the time, it stays located in the handle). Slide the handle slightly to the front of the car and it can then be pulled partially away from the door which will reveal a rod secured with a clip..remove the clipand disengage the rod.
Presuming you have removed the door card and partially peeled back the foam water shedder, disengage the cable from the interior door handle by lifting the cranked end of the steel cable gently upwards from the plastic retainer on the handle. Working inside the door cavity, remove the clip securing the rod from the sill locking button and disconnect the rod at the latch lever.
There should be enough room to now "Jiggle" the latch to a position where the cable from the interior handle is located can be unhooked from the operating lever on the latch.
Disconnect the wiring connector(s) to the latch.
You will have to probably fiddle about a bit working the latch out of the cavity, but when you have found the right way it will be easy.....bit like those old wire puzzles !!!

Good luck.

Got the bastard!!

Good Man !!!!
If you are going to delve into the inners, just remove the black plastic cover carefully as there are a couple of light torsion springs and a couple of plastic levers which will either pop or jump out of position. No doubt you will figure out how they fit. Taking a few pic's on a phone or camera is a good memory jogger for reassembly...if you are not replacing it !!!

Lol!! What a mission!!

Had a look inside, think I need a new one. Where there is 3 mini electrical buttons that are inside one seems to have lost its "black nipple" from it so it's not contracting every time. This links back to the lock levers. Si might explain why I can't put the eka code in.

The hardest bit was putting it back so I could lock the car!! Are the bars and levers come out and I kept putting then back I. The wrong way round!! Doh!!

Thanx for ur run through!! Invaluable!! Although I should read then do....as the little spacer bit did end up in the door cavity!!! Lol!!

And as usual since I bought it (not fitted yet) everything is working just as it should!!! Doh!!
