Hello again folks, another question for the forum,

Is it normal for the drive tunnel to get warm, whilst driving around on hot days, I know this sound silly but I have to ask, just in case I'm running low on oil etc, Plus how can I check my gear box oil levels.

Thanks in advance.:)

Yeah its quite normal, gets warm from the heat givven off the gearbox/engine under there, just like the backseat on the old busses used to.

I agree with Jackual, quite normal, especially if its been working hard.
Should be a level plug in the side of the gearbox, and another in the back of the transfer box.

Super many thanks for the advice....What's the spec of the oil for the gear box and the transfer box, should I need to top them up, I know with oils, it's a nightmare, does anyone know the details ?

Thanks:rolleyes:

You just keep putting oil in until it reaches the level of the filler hole and starts coming back out again. What tends to happen is the oil from the main box leakes into the transfer box and then from the transfer box all over your handbrake shoes!
