So a u joint went out on my front axle and I took it off so I could replace it. My thinking is that it not in 4 wheel so I could still drive because the rear is still attach. Put it in gear and tried and got nothing. Is that what was suppose to happen or do I got a bigger issue? Another question I got is, since I'm not anywhere near home can I use the rear drive shaft in the front until the u joint comes in?

It's a 90 by the way

You need to stick in the diff lock to drive without front prop. ;)

Ahhh ok so would you recommend driving like that at all? Tried the diff lock and that worked which is def a sigh of relief. Now it just needs to make it back home from Germany.

So If I go around driving with the diff lock on but no front shaft connected am I going to screw anything up?

What do you mean back home from germany? As in to the uk? Driving?. It won't bugger anything up but its by no means a long term solution. Just get a new UJ on, anywhere should be able to fit one

Yea I finally found one and got it fitted but it cost me 70 euros. So that was fun. Thanks for the input though
