This may have been said before, but to be sure.
I'm replacing my drivers side drive shaft (UK).
Tray is off, and I've made sure I can undo gear box fill plugs.
So I started reading which oil and found this quote 'The IRD is the Freelander's equivalent to a transfer box. It's bolted to the engine side of the gearbox. The drivers side drive shaft comes out of it!!'
So when I pull the shaft out of the box, that I have drained, I am right to assume thats the IRD and so needs 75w-90 gear oil?
If so, I've undone the wrong fill/drain plug and where are the fill/drain plugs for the IRD?
Although while I'm there I'll replace both sets of oil now.
Thanks for any help that may follow
