This may have been said before, but to be sure.

I'm replacing my drivers side drive shaft (UK).

Tray is off, and I've made sure I can undo gear box fill plugs.

So I started reading which oil and found this quote 'The IRD is the Freelander's equivalent to a transfer box. It's bolted to the engine side of the gearbox. The drivers side drive shaft comes out of it!!'
So when I pull the shaft out of the box, that I have drained, I am right to assume thats the IRD and so needs 75w-90 gear oil?
If so, I've undone the wrong fill/drain plug and where are the fill/drain plugs for the IRD?
Although while I'm there I'll replace both sets of oil now.

Thanks for any help that may follow

Worth downloading rave manual for all details but RHS driveshaft comes from IRD and this needs 75w/90.

LHS comes from gearbox. Auto or manual is different oil and procedure.

Thanks for such a quick reply.
Good job I checked or I'd have drained the gear box oil and got covered in IRD oil!!
Just looking for the oil now.
