Drive flange leaking oil

Hi guys havin a look at this today, started squeaking few days ago followed by a metallic grinding
Noise. Thinking the halfshaft any info would be great thanks Dave.

Check axle breather is clear, have you checked the wheel bearings?

Thanks beasty il check the bearing, axle breathers new extended ones.

It's the bit that screws into the axle that you need to check is clear.
If it's blocked pressure will build up inside and force oil out of the easiest place which can be the drive flange.
If it's not blocked the flange gasket might just have failed or the bolts are a bit loose.
Being as it's noisey anyway, it needs stripping out to investigate further.

Took the hub off an the bearings fell to bits, thanks for the help guys

Guess it was not the breathers then........

I had one go like that on the disco locked up the front off side wheel at 50mph. Check the hub has not been buggered.

Cheers spacedawg,had to knock inner part of the bearin off hub it was solid.
It looks ok, drove home from Wales on m54 it don't bear thinkin about lol.
