just back from 1000 mile road trip from isle Sheppy to Stirling can't complain to much about water coming in passenger footwell took a car up on a trailer and brought an even heavier one back had a bit of heavy rain so think Mabey just comin in from the little filter under screen I hope

But haven't really used the Range Rover much for last year been use the fiat for work then it parked all week so well pleased no major issues with Range Rover

Shame you had a big one to bring back, that little washing machine would have fitted in the boot!

AAhh a proper classic, apologize for suggesting an Austin, iam not that well versed on fifties cars, it does look nice, bet there is lots of lovely leather and walnut and a very sweet engine:):)
and its got trafficators

Yer it had plenty ov leather the car doesn't belong to me I just dropped it off to the fella who I rented the trailer from that's his 13th out of just over 500 made and wasn't Daimler taken over by jaguar now to find this warmer leak on mine

Had the dreaded leak for years, I removed everything including the pollen filter assembly cleaned and resealed everything, refitted and still leaked. I then replaced the plastic screw retainers with new ones but before fitting them I put sealant around the base, dry as a bone now after all of these years. It seemed too small an area to be the problem but the foam seals on them are as useful as a chocolate teapot. Only need to seal the ones above the pollen filter area. It smells so much nicer inside now that it is dry :)

I would imagine that you probably sealed the rubber blanking plug too? I had water coming in there too. I also sealed all the way down the side of the windscreem although I never found any evidence of water there.

wasn't Daimler taken over by jaguar

Yes but they kept the Daimler brand going for a while. Then it just vanished. From Wikipedia (with all relevent caveats)

"Ford stopped using the Daimler name on Jaguars (or any other cars) in 2007 selling Jaguar to Tata Motors in 2008. Tata bought the Daimler and Lanchester brands with Jaguar, but has not used them so far."
