drag link ball joint

hi people, looking for a bit of info,the drag link joint looks a bit knackered on my 96 300tdi disco its the one on the passenger side.these i understand are just the same as the track rod ends but 1 is left hand thread the other right hand, does anybody know which thread is the passenger side? :blabla:thank you

drag link ball joint is RH thread.
track rod has one RH and one LH thread.

On my 97 model I have just replaced both of my ball joints on the passenger side, drag link was L/H RTC5870 and the track rod was R/H RTC5869

left hand thread then?

Nae wurries mate It's not that hard a job really, just a PITA gettin' the bugger movin' after it's bin welded in there wi' years o' rust and crap!

The drag link has a lh and rh ball joint, the track rod has two rh.
Can't remember if the passenger side drag link is which but if discool says lh it will be. Part RTC5870

thanks for all your help lads they only cheap so i may buy both rh and lh coz no doubt i`ll need another 1 day

Not too sure about Disco ones, but ah'm almost positive ah took mine off anti-clockwise

To be honest for what they cost it's worth getting a lh and rh and doing both on the drag link at the same time. They've both done the same amount of work over the years. It's a lot easier freeing off the bar on the bench.

Whatever ye do cawl, DON'T buy ****part or ye'll be doin' them again pretty soon! Go for Delphi or better, might be a wee bit dearer but will last a lot longer
