Can anyone recommend a supplier of defender doors? Want hassle free fitment

Not really. A lot of people like the all steel galv doors, but some don't fit very well.
Whatever you get, you will have to paint them, or get them painted.
I can't say I have heard of any company that has 100% satisfaction on doors.

Hassle free and Landrovers don't really go together.
 
Watch out if you’re buying used ones, especially the later puma doors. So many are getting stolen that there’s a good chance that what you buy are nicked. Make sure you’re happy with the seller and source of the doors.
 
The best way is to restore some old doors. That way you guarantee figment, warrant your own work and build in modifications. There are several threads in LZ about door repairs, I’m sure @bankz5152 did some door repairs and upgrades iirc. Good luck, and one final thing - good doors equals desire and theft. If you do buy new also buy good hinges or they’ll end up stolen.
 
Want hassle free fitment
If you look at any of the production line videos from the build of the defender they were not hassle free when new from the factory. Being bent and hammered to fit. the tolerances of a land rover mean nothing is hassle free so new of second hand are going to need fettling to fit. agree with the above the easiest way to ensure easy fitment is to refurbish your current ones.
 
Mine are actually shot and I really need to get them repaired. But I've only just got them shutting right after 10 months so I don't dare touch them again :D. I class it as weight saving and it matches the passenger footwell. Keep us posted on what you choose to do might give me some ideas!

I have recently refurbished mine with repair sections from YRM. It wasn’t easy given the state they were in. Hardest bit was getting the skin off without destroying it.

Galvanised are the preferred option (by me) but are difficult to get right, D/S fine P/S being a pain to get to close correctly
 
SP 4X4, Yep that's the ones I have, passenger side proving difficult, may need
some proper alignment (bending) to resolve, The galvanising twists various bits !!!
 
I got a steel galvanised drivers door from SP. I'm happy with it apart from one thing. The tubes through the door where the hinge bolts go through were way too long. They protruded about 3 mm. I could just get the nuts on with a couple of threads and not enough to engage with the nyloc. Fitting one of those anti-theft plates was impossible. After grinding the extra tube flush it still wasn't quite enough to fit the anti-theft plates and engage the nuts fully. I ended up using the door bolts used on the rear doors which are notably longer, and cut them down.
Anyway, apart from that hassle, the door is ok and I'm happy with it.
 
I bought two front and a safari rear door from SP-4x4.com and they fitted well in place of the old tatty ones. I also got a full window seal set for the two fronts and the rear came with a HRW already in it. I added new handles and striker plates and lock barrels at the same time and greased all the internals well. My doors are full of Dodomat sound deadening sheets and they shut fine with a dull clunk now. I also added three new door seals and a new boot step in stainless with a new rubber too.
SP do standard Ali doors or the newer stainless ones so take your pick.
 
Anyone interested in a brand new Def 90 safari rear door skin in Ali? I have a brand new one that is unwanted and still in it box..... Easy enough to fit by tapping over the edges around three sides and using the right adhesive/bonding. I bought an entire set of three new doors from SP Panels in the end so this is not needed now.
