Doors ??

It's time to replace my lower doors where's the best place to buy them from I Need 2A doors with the cut outs for the anti-burst lock and any to avoid cheers for your help.

Check out Craddocks or Paddocks but be careful when ordering as there’s a few variations. Best to look and then speak them. Paddocks usually cheaper.

Any body used Paintman panels for doors good/bad

IMO no doors fit very well. I have fitted both new (any brand) doors and second hand original land rover doors and none of them line up well. To get them to line up correctly you need to adjust the bulkhead angle against the tub, as well as the height of the front of the rear tub and even then it is a lot of fettling and adjusting. This is "easy" to do if you have the vehicle stripped and are in the process of a rebuild but if you are just swapping to door over you are not going to bother loosening off all of the other panels to get everything lined up perfectly. You have to remember these vehicles were hand built with tolerances that were adjust with a large hammer (no joke if you have seen videos of the production line). Because of this there can be huge differences in the dimensions of two different vehicles and therefore no replacement panel can be expected to perfectly fit without a lot of adjustment because nothing on these vehicles was built to the tolerances of a modern monocoque car.

Got my door tops (galvanised) from SP - clamped in with new seals - but fit is v good.
