door tops

will defender door tops fit a series 3?,i've been offered a pair and want to be sure.

i thought defenders had one piece doors....

these are apparently off a military one

sounds like they will be ok. S2/3 doors are the same size/fitting as defenders which havent changed from 84-td5 (dunno about the new one). so i would say you be ok.

unless their off an armoured landy, then they may be different

they are made of aluminium,here's a pic

rad. they look like series door tops. mayb e their series doors on a military defender leading the seller to think that defenders had 2piece doors. and even if they did, why would LR make them diff to series 2piece doors? maybe the lowers have push buttons. who knows. buy em and take a punt in the dark, if it fails. ebay

they are military door tops and yes they will fit yer series. how much have you been offered them for. they usually fetch good money on ebay

While we are on this subject, where / how do I get replacement stuffing to fit into my new door tops for holding the glass in?

Ask Grunt - he got some recently, think it was either Craddocks or Paddocks.

Them's series tops and if both bits of glass slide then they are Wolf/military tops (Very desirable).

As for fitting in the glass you can buy glass putty from Pads or Crads along with replacement channel but i recommend that you get your windows adhesive / putty from B+Q its cheaper.

I've got a set of doors bottoms and tops which came with the td90 I brought and they have 2 piece sliding glass panels.

Ebay's normally got window channel kits on it might be worth a look.

After seeing the prices 2nd hand ally door tops were going for on ebay, i purchased some spangly new rocky mountain ones

Didnt realise how rotten my old door tops were until i had the pleasure of removing them!

it cost me £203 including door to top seals and postage

was a bit, but the ones i saw on ebay were going for almost the same, and needed work, so i took the plunge
