I have replaced one of these already and used two part epoxy to glue it in position. The epoxy wasn’t the best, but YRM Metals advise using Structural Adhesive, which is feckin expensive. I still need to do the other side, so has anyone done this before and used a suitable affordable adhesive??

This light be a silly question but where do these actually fit?
I can’t help with glueing them down as I am not entirely sure what the part is for, but then I might not have it as I like the old fashioned series doors and have them fitted to mine. Even having looked at the yrm ad I still can’t work out what part they are supposed to be replacing/repairing.
but from no knowledge of what the part is actually for I am inclined to agree with @neilp1 and tiger seal and rivets has got to be a better bet than just gluing in place.

Here. Mine are rotten at the bottom due to the mild steel bolts for the tub to bulkhead bar.
In that case looking at that I would definitely be diverting as well as glueing.
It’s got the bolts for the bottom bracket and the door catch though. The originals are spot welded around the door seal flange. I want it to look kind of factory and rivets might look messy.
