door outstation smoking :<<

hi. well still have this central locking fault so i bought a door outstation from ebay to try see if this was the fault, once fitted it started smoking and basically burnt out, any idea what would cause this as this must be my problem area

Too many of those volts and amps and things going into the wrong places.





Seriously, your first problem is that, unless it was new, you've no idea whether that ebay outstation was any good. You've got two choices, get RAVE and start tracing and testing all of the wiring or get to somebody with some heavyweight diagnostics and experience.

how do i go about getting rave ?

if you're sensible and want to think ahead PM Datatek and in exchange for some wine tokens (he lives in France) he will supply the software and lead to connect into the air suspension for when it goes wrong, but a little birdie has told me that he sticks a copy of RAVE onto the disc.

If you're made of money you can pay £25+ and buy it off ebay.
