Its getting to the time where I need to replace my front door locks. Though is it possible to do without having to have yet another key!

Anyway I can replace the front door locks to fit my current key?

I think if it's a genuine lock set you can, if it's aftermarket I don't know of a way.
I bought a genuine set as mine is a 03 on and ebay etc don't sell them. Genuine come with a little metal tab with a number on and from these you can order more of the same locks.
its easy enough to do all the door locks though so if it was me I'd just change em all.

Off topic slightly, I have set of brand new still sealed in the bag up to 03 locks. Yours for £15 including postage if your interested. Can get pics if required.

I did away with mine completely after loads of issues. No key issues or being able to unlock wit ith a nearby stone or twig. I fitted central locking instead. Bolted and blanked the holes where the locks would go.

I did that too, cept back door in case the system failed which it did once when the Doris was leaving work.
She was not impressed with climbing over high back 2nd row seats in a pencil skirt.
And no knickers on either, silly woman...

I wanted all my locks replaced this year - the garage had a lot of trouble getting the right ones - couldn't purchase individually either had to get whole set including new ignition (which I still have, in a box!).

Same here, the back door is still via the barrel.

Yeah see I didnt want to replace all of them most of all the ignition barrel! Just wanted to try and replace the front door barrels.

I was considering central locking but thats yet another fob ill have to have, I really cannot be assed with trying to splice it into the standard alarm I can imagine that would be a pandoras box of hell. Plus I can't imagine its going to be exactly waterproof and we all know Fender doors leak and I do go wading. Occasionally had to stop and the foot wells have filled up. Basically worried about it shorting out.

After speaking to Huff, going to fit central locking. Bought the Hawk kit which is apparently water resistant so should be up to job, but going to run some silicone sealant round the seals hopefully make em a bit more water proof
