Hi guys, I have an 04 reg silver Pursuit, and the offside rear door will lock but refuses to unlock from the central locking system. All other doors are fine, so the system's working, and the door can be mechanically unlocked, so i guess the unlock actuator is jammed, dead or has lost its electric connection. My problem is that I need advice as to how to get the interior trim off without wrecking it. The screws in the inside handle don't release the trim, they just hold the handle firmly. Is there an online source of diagram or service manual info for this somewhere?

Thanks Steve. First I'll consider it. Then decide whether it's worth the hassle or to let the dealer do it !!

I did the front door on mine last weekend. Pretty easy really apart from reseating the dor frame which took two people to line up. The door card itself just unclips from the skin - (just look after the plastic clips!) when the handle and armrest have been removed.

Total cost of mine was around £60 plus a skinned knuckle or two, still much cheaper than paying dealer prices

Thanks guys. I took a breath, used a bit more force and great care, found the hidden screw behind the door handle, and it all came off just fine. I now know how to do it, also that the fault is in the solenoid or whatever it is, so I have to order a replacement and then fit it. In line with my usual approach I'll subsequently see if I can mend the old one, both to have a spare and also to notch up a score against the manufacturer.
