I've a 56 plate Freelander and would like to know if the Superlock/deadlock facility is a permanent thing or if it can be switched off. i don't seem to have it!!......Unless I'm doing something wrong:confused:. On the missus car you just press the "plip" lock button a second time.

Also can the central locking be set to lock on "drive away". I've found a thread that says yes but I've also found info elsewhere that doesn't seem to think so.
Any one have a definitive answer?

Thanks Mick

Pressing the lock button on the remote once should activate superlocking automatically, try sitting inside and lock once then try to open the door.

Auto locking on drive away is not an option to my knowledge, there's no mention of it in the workshop manual.

Superlocking is market selectable so you will have to visit a dealer who can tell you if it has been disabled.
Will it superlock using the key? (turn key to the rear twice within one second)
Regarding the rear window drop. I don't think there is any association between the window and superlocking.
Maybe the is a fault with the ccu or relay, the dealer will be able to see any stored fault codes when checking the superlocking option.
