door check

Just had a look at my door hinge mounts drivers side top mount is cracked what kind of weight are we talking for the door as it looks like the only way of doing this is with the door off, I take it the philips headed screws are not captive

The screws are captive. You loosen them to adjust the setting of the door. The weight of the door is........"Bloody Heavy"

Take the door off by removing the hinge pin.

Cheers mate, I am trying to dream up an idea how to remove this door single handed, I think I may have a solution, 4x2 lashed to roof bars over the door with a jack on the 4x2 the only prob I see is how to lower it to the ground, however as my Grandad used to say "well suppose you were stuck in the dessert with Rommel on your tail"
