Didn't think there were any land rover breakers around lol just people who strip um

Plenty around. A friend does it locally.

I have also bought parts from breakers upcountry, just googled em up, dingocroft are good sometimes, got a late model door slightly bent,(twisted, not stolen), for £100.
I bought a mint fan and cowl for me 90 when I junked the electric fans, only about 50 quid delivered down here! Breakers in the Midlands, just got em off google search.

19j filter is approx half the size of a tdi one, might not be an issue if you change it often enough.

Will look for one. Will an oil one from a series be waterproof as I like the water when I off road lol

No airbox is waterproof, the air has to get in, the water can too.

Raise the intake up using a snorkel or suitable piece of tubing.

Although having thought about that, not sure if you can easily fit snorkel to a series airbox, 2.5 td/na you can.

LOL I didn't mean that mate. I have a snorkel with a mushroom top going straight into the turbo air intake via no filter or box. The comfort that the only place water. Could leak in is if I sink the snorkel under the water or the clamp wasn't tight at the turbo. Adding an air box worries me with the fact water could get past the lid, or two more connections (in and out) plus they come with one of those poxy drains which could potentially suck water in when submerged.

Anyway sorry for the thread hi Jack lol

Canna win lol! I'll keep an eye out for a 19j air filter box and stick It where it actually belonged in the first place. I'll also use the crank breather hole to actually put the crank breather on instead of venting to air

Good plan! Not sure about the crank breather, though, direct to atmosphere is safe! :D

You used to be able to get a kit to fit a snorkel to an oil bath, but I doubt theres any left, seeing a series with a snorkel is a pretty rare thing.

well after tying to get the old filter box back in after spraying it and buying a new pipe it simply didnt fit correctly
so i fitted this instead
