I have surplus to requirement(!) a purpose made dog cage built by dogcages.net but now named Barnesbrookcages.com
It is well used but still in reasonably good condition. It was made to fit inside the boot of my Y2000 D2 so as to utilize all the available space for my two bearded collie dogs. It has two separate opening doors at the front for normal use and a further one at the back, up against the back of the rear seats, which can be used in the event of a rear shunt blocking the normal way of getting out. There is a central divider mesh panel which can be fitted to keep the two dogs separate, although I never did that.
There are some signs of rust on the bars where the coating has been scratched with use - not by the dogs but by me putting it in and out of the car! It was bought about 12 years ago.
This company refers to these cages as 'The Silent Traveller' because they do not rattle when in use!
I am too lazy to get it out and take pictures but will willingly do so if these are required!!
A rough idea of what it looks like 'in situ' can be seen on the website in their picture gallery of a Ford Galaxy(!)
It is a quality cage and originally cost over £300!!!!!!! - Yes, I'm mad.
Although it could be couriered (if I can pack it) this would probably be costly, so collection would be the best, especially if you are on holiday and find yourself anywhere near SA20.

I don't think it's a good idea to put your dog in a cage. I have a secured, fenced in yard and she has not ever shown any sign to suggest she would ever try to get OUT of the fenced area (doesn't dig under or try to jump over the fence), but I would NEVER EVER thought of leaving her outside if I am not home, even if all I'm doing is going to the gas station around the corner for several minutes. Research this topic better. This info may help

I think you may have misunderstood what the LR crate is for! No one in their right mind would coup a dog in a cage when it is in a garden or yard!!!!! The cage is purpose built to go INSIDE a D2 to keep the dog/s and passengers safe in the unfortunate event of an accident - 20+ kilos of canine being hurled forward in a rear-end shunt is NOT desirable!
All of my dogs have never, ever been left at home, either inside or outside, they go everywhere with me if there is not going to be someone at home to care for their needs. Forty years of following this policy has made for a total of 5 very happy and safe canines.
Hope this info. helps you to understand the use of this dog crate.:)
