Sure did, and the pump on the bench in the photo came from a Massey-Ferguson tractor. I cleaned it all up, and re-assembled it, but when the man wasn't looking I did a little extra to it. I adjusted the MAXIMUM FUEL delivery UP a tad. Not the revs, which were left alone at about 2,200 rpm, just the max fuel delivery.
The pump went back on the tractor same day, timed it, bled it, and the engine fired up first time of trying. And Man, you should see that engine pull now! When the load comes on there's a mighty blast of black smoke (shame huh?) but it PULLS like it never did before. Job done. Happy Farmer.
