does FL suspension work the same?

Thanks Stuart but no it doesn't help :D
I'm not very mechanicaly minded so didn't understand most of that! Thanks for trying to help a simpleton though :monitor_punch:

no probs

the landy on the pic has a beam or live axle, so it also moves up and down

both wheels are fixed to that axle , so both wheels move together

the springs and dampers are bolted onto that one axle

the freelander has independent suspension, the axle doesn't move because it hasn't got one, each wheel is controlled independent of one another , so they move up and down on there own

as the wheels are independent of one another there is a better chance they can grip, opposed to the fender where one wheel can be up and one down , meaning a wheel could be up in the air and not touching the ground

hope that makes abit of sense, lol
