Does Disco 2 front axle fit a disco 1 300 TDi

Hi all, Can I fit a Disco 2 front axle to my Disco 1?

Just been wondering about it, but i'm on a ship again or I would be out measuring. Does anybody know if this is possible? and if it is, is it a straight swap? or is there a we bit of work involved, Is the track the same or is one wider than the other?

No it wont fit straight on mate and to be honest it would go their i have a disco 2 and the wheel bearings are about 180 each! Why do you want to fit that axle anyway? Dan
