...A Discovery 200tdi steering wheel kicking around that they want rid off?
Ah'm looking for one preferably in black and reasonable nick to stick on me bus

Cheers
;) :D

Howdy Buster!

Is the wheel for the 200 the same as for the 300? I ask cos I have a VERY old mountney steering wheel that I think will fit with the correct boss...and it'd give me some motivation to get it done! ;)

No worries Buster. Have read Stig's post so I guess it's no good. Damn...there goes my motivation to get a Mountney steering boss!! ;)
If ye're thinkin' of a Mountney steerin' boss for the 300tdi defender Martin, have a look at these piccies, ye might want to think again!:eek:

This is what a mate of mine was sent from one of the big/ popular companies to fit his new mountney steerin' wheel to!!! Being a welder to trade, he ended up making his own boss which was more substanshull;) :D

:eek::eek::eek:

Christ on a Raleigh Chopper!! That's a wee bit gash is that Buster!! I appreciate you letting me see what is being flogged!!

The wheel I've got is an Astrali...not Mountney...my mistake. :eek: I think the boss fittings are similar/same but I wouldn't really want to put that boss into the Landy unless as a last resort. (Very PC of you to omit the suppliers name too!! ;) )

My current worry is the sudden vibration that's started..and getting worse.:( Having kids is probably less worrying than being a Landy owner!! :rolleyes:

Martin,. you be pm'd

Yeh i'm sure that 200tdi's come in blue or beige only (beige a later option) and i know the 200 and 300 series wheel splines are different so cant cross. Thats why i suggested early RRC, around 1990. (see, these book things tell you things :D)
