Well would you trust your landy to go on a spure of the moment 300 mile run for example, with out needing to do any major prep

hi just come back from a 10 day trip in cumbria,250 miles from me to the lakes and not so much as a splutter to get there ,done 3 byways while up there 2 in yorkshire and one just outside Keswick (Bresthigh road)which was great even only 2.5 miles and loads of driving me and me dog round to do my photography stuff then lots of trips up into the hills and then home again .1,234 miles later and drives as well as ever ,will change all oils (diff&gearbox etc in next week )
So yes i trust my 90 200tdi with my heart and love it even more after seeing wot it can do in the hills of cumbria ....
:) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I used to do regular 3 to 400 mile round trips in my old 92 disco without anything more than making sure there was oil in it. I do the same in the 110 I've got now but do check the fluids a bit more often and I'm intent on servicing this one regularly to keep it going for as long as poss. So far no probs though:D

i do 350+ miles in mine every week.
id feel slightly dubious about it if i were 350+ away from home but id have no reason to doubt it.

Completely. My old S3 took me to Austria skiing this winter well over a thousand mile round trip about -10 was the average temp in the morning and it never missed a beat (I do have ADAC though just in case). Like all landies if you keep on top of the basics you've no need to worry.

Yup! me too.

And it s'nice and shiney, Its warm, It dunt leak water in, dunt rattle, tint rusty, smelly, noisey, leave puddles of oil everytime its parked up. go's like an OOooligan, got heated leather seats, air con, Seee Deee player.
And it's never let me down! (sept fer once fuel pump bust) ;)

Yep trust mine bought it in Jan Needs loads of welding and the power steering pump ****es fluid. done 3,500 miles since I got it. including two trips from Hull to Anglesey. and half a doz trips from Leeds to Liverpool and back. Not had a single problem wtih it

landies like most veehickels fer some reason are refered to as 'her' or 'she' or 'the old girl'. which would make them female. so no you can't trust them

Yeah I know that about the kitchen stuff an cleanin an stuff, but what is the poster of this fred asking that we trust our landies with. Like fer instance I definitely trust mine not to eat all the biscuits if I was careless enough to leave em lying about, but I couldn't say the same about me dog.
