Are your seat frames tubular type bolted to the floor or plate type with the plastic trim surround?

Tubular type, not a direct fit, you need a plate to fit to the bottom of the RR seats to bolt to the tubular frame.
Plate type with plastic trim should go straight in, think you lose one of the two bolt holes on the back of each runner.
Rears are direct swap.

Im trying to move on a leather set with the adaptor plates to mount to the tubular frame in the for sale section...

I took a set of sets from a 1991 RR and fitted them to a 1996 Discovery, and they fitted straight in, on the same fixings. Made a considerable improvement, and provided arm rests. No problems.
 
If you make up your own mounting brackets or customise the original mounting brackets I'm sure as long as they fit in width wise you can make any seats fit.
