Do i need late typr tensioner?

Hi all

sorry for all these dumb questions but im new to discoverys, just looking on island 4x4 website and want to order the timing belt kit but do i need the late type timing belt tensioner with my chassis number being SALLJGB.........

hope you can help.

I'm new to all this too, but I believe the "late type" is a modified tensioner, with a "lip" on it, as the belt used to slip off the old type. Hence the "late type" just means, new and improved??

Don't take my word as gospel please.

Oh right yes makes sense now thanks mate, thats lucky cause the kit im getting has the modified tensioner etc.
