Hi All
I have already asked this question in my other post, but maybe my description/question was not clear enough.
Today I want to put back the rear prop (as I have finished all other jobs) but I do not know what to do with the spigot bush (see photo). What I have in my prop looks so different than the one I got in a new kit.
If I remove the old one, will the new one fit or I might have a different prop?

in the meanwhile I have found something on the net. Mine is probably tvd000020 which has this copper insert. But the outer ring still looks strange (it is not even parallel with prop shaft).

Looks like its had something wearing against it, which has rolled it over and flattened it. Might have come out half an inch..

Today i showed it to a friend who is an experienced car mechanic and his opinion was to put it back and not change it with the one which has only rubber inside. So i have changed only the rubber coupling and put the shaft back. It runs smooth, could not detect any issue so far.

Not the answer according to Hoyle, as the Merkins would say, but exactly what I did until later plucked up the courage for the long battle which was to remove the old one. Can't remember exactly how I did it, but I expect I took a hacksaw apart and put it together again with the blade down the hole then sawed it in as many places as necessary to give it wiggle room then beat the cr ap out of it with hammer and chisel to get it out.
Like yours, mine also ran fine with the old one.
Cheers
Stan

Why did you remove if it run fine?
This is what i was thinking about and decided finally not to remove it (yet).
The other thing why i did not want to risk is that the outer diameter of the old one is about 1.5mm bigger.
Regarding on copper insert, it is a better construction, right (and much more expensive)?

Ive done away with the donuts on all my 300s by fitting wide angle 200tdi props & the 4 bolt flange.
Mines was chewing the donuts up possibly to do with it being lifted.

One of those things where I had changed the donut and felt that the spigot bush was looking just a bit secondhand. Also felt that renewing it might make the donut last a bit longer.
But Kevstar has the right answer to it I think.

Mine was also lifted with about 2" so that might explain why my bush looks a bit strange (I removed the lift about a year ago).
Yep, forgot to mention mine had gained an accidental 2" lift through having heavy ditys fitted to the rear and the rears moved to the front.
