I am back home in Australia now and its time to get another vehicle and looking at getting either a V6 3l or the 3'6 V8 sport'
Now all the posts about sport on here are very negative but I dont see many with faults listed.
I know the 2.7 L diesel had problems.
Is there a gearbox problem with these as with the L322 and why does not anyone like them?
I would like to get aP 38 diesel but they were not imported out here and the early L322 seem to be a lot of problems with gearboxes and
I dont want one running on gas as the cylinders take up to much room and also hard to get when travelling desert tracks and a petrol one although has a large tank is still not carring enough fuel and also overheating could be a problem out here when running in 40 degree heat.
Otherwise i might have to look at a land cruiser but i dont really like them
and the other option is a Disco 4 but they are way to expensive over here

Front air bag loom sensors corroded fast,
Front lower arms, its still a disco and therefore a heafty fuk,
Gear box is ok, needs checking for sump a main shaft leaks every few years,
Prop center bearings do wear faster than you'd like if your off roading,

3.6 is the better motor, but remember it has two turbos that are only accessable by taking the body off,
3ltr is the standard work horse, engines are made in mexico at a ford factory, the rear main is known for leaking,

3ltr air box rubber O rings perish, main one is a bugger for it,
Recently intake manifolds have been found to either be leaking or of cracked causing engine management lights to flash up,
On the 3ltr, use genuine bulbs, can and will cause faults that arent there ie gearbox faults, its something to do with the vaultage,

Above all, get something thats been looked after !

are these reply from any one thats owned one or just hearsay?
i believe wammers son owns one i would likr his opinon on it

Thanks Saint for the link and also i find it much easier to put photos on that site as I havnt been able to upload any photos to this site since the change
I had one on trial, didn't like the ride and the seats felt like church pews. I had trouble uploading photos on here, wouldn't upload photos from my phone but would from my old camera. To many pixels I think.
