Hello,

I'm in the process of (trying to) fitting some 90 2.25 petrol manifolds to an older series 3 2.25. I've got an ACR 2.1 head and reprofiled cam which is being strangled by a Weber 34ICH. I got some 90 manifolds which came with a shagged DMTL carb which I'd like to replace but I'm unsure which one to get (see below)

I've asked this question over in the series forum but I guess it is worth re-asking here as it's more likely that you lads will know the DMTL carbs

Does anyone have information sheets for these they could scan or at least let me know what the differences are between the different DMTL carbs that are available? Do they all fit the same or are some plumbed in differently? I'd love to get hold of a service sheet if possible.

I'd be very grateful for any info going: What I've found by poking around so far is:

2.5L Petrol not European detox ETC5305
2.5L Petrol European detox ETC5306
2.5L Petrol to engine 17H08822C ETC6350
2.5L Petrol from engine 17H08822C ETC7144

I think the first two should be 2.25L Anyone know what the difference is between detox and non-detox - I'd like whatever is easiest to plumb in then I can mess with the jets later....

I've read somewhere that a 2.5 carb will feed a 2.25 but not vice-versa. Is this true?

Cheers for any advice, before I fork out yet another £150+

Dom

Cheers for the help, finding any info on DMTLs is impossible, no idea what float level etc

I've ordered a 2.25 one and will try swapping jets when I've got it running....now for the plumbing.

Not sure what to do with the vapour return pipe from the solenoid on the carb:
- fit a vapour separator - no idea how to do that
- plumb back to tank
- stick a mini filter in it and let petrol evaporate to air
- block the hole up

Any recommendations? Searched widely but no real consensus as far as I can tell.

I'm feeding the current carb through an in-line filter then Facet fuel pump, then diaphragm type pressure reducer with no return...not had any vapour lock problems with this set up unlike the mechanical pumps...
