My 3.9 is tappety and sounding tired. how easy is a self rebuild and where is the best place for good parts/kit for the job?

Juicey:)

Very tappety even with 5-40 in.
piece of mind.+ I can sort out a small oil leak...not sure where its coming from. its not the head as no mayo or drinking water/oil

Or should I just leave it alone as it still works:rolleyes:

id leave it me self, i v rebuilt a few different engines, they all seem to end up way more work than yer first realise, and costs a small fortune, ;)

if its running ok leave it till its at a point where it NEEDS rebuilding

then presuming all the parts are standard order all yer bits and strip it

p.s is a autobox fluid change easy:(

And Sean you has enough crap to move as it is

i roughly worked it out the other day - 3 van loads of "house" things 8 loads of "garage" things, which might turn into 12 due to weight limits

doris came home with a new 18v Makita cordless drill for me today, and cooked tea

BnQ have them on special was 200 now 80 apparently
